Learning from our mistakes is vital for us as humans to grow and develop.
But what if the same mistakes are made over and over again?
Gun laws in the US state that anyone over the age of 18 can walk into a gun store and buy one. Providing you don’t have any prior felony convictions or misdemeanours carrying custodial sentences over 2 years, you can pretty much decide to buy a gun and walk out of a store with your shiny new shooter in under 30 minutes.
It is these laws which keep putting weapons of destruction into the hands of those who would do massive harm.
In the past 50 years there have been approximately 300 shootings in schools, colleges and universities. Some of them resulting in one or two fatalities, others in mass fatalities that you would expect to change the way we view gun crime.
But the fact is, these atrocious crimes are still happening. And nobody is doing anything to prevent the real problem.
Guns don’t kill people, people do. Yeah, the people holding guns.
