It seems these days that Donald Trump spends more time apologising that he does actually running the country.
After the whole “sh*t hole countries” remark he made about certain African countries; he’s now dropped himself in it again by retweeting videos posted by ultra racist group Britain First.
It’s difficult to determine the reasons behind the retweets, Donald has stated in an interview with Piers Morgan that he wasn’t aware what Britain First are. Why would he? He’s a whole world away from knowing our racist factions.
“If you are telling me they’re horrible people, horrible, racist people, I would certainly apologise if you’d like me to do that.” he told Morgan.
Theresa May previously condemned him retweeting Britain First, to which Donald Trump’s response was:
This prompted Brendan Cox, whose MP wife Jo Cox was murdered by a Britain First extremist to respond with:
You have a mass shooting every single day in your country, your murder rate is many times that of the UK, your healthcare system is a disgrace, you can’t pass anything through a congress that you control. I would focus on that. https://t.co/SNcqOZGvLQ

It appears however that after much outrage towards the President, he’s finally seen the light and offers an apology.
“I guess, again I’m in the United States, so I didn’t read as much about it, perhaps it was a big story in Britain, perhaps it was a bit story in the UK. But in the United States it wasn’t a big story. I did a retweet. When you do your own tweeting, or you do your own social media, it’s fine.” said Donald Trump.
“When you do those retweets it can cause problems, because you never know who’s doing it to start off with. I don’t know who they are, I know nothing about them, so I wouldn’t be doing that. I am, as I say often, the least racist person that anybody’s going to meet.
Certainly I wasn’t endorsing anybody. I knew nothing about them. They had I guess a couple of depictions of radical Islamic terror. Radical Islamic terror, whether you like talking about it or not Piers, it’s a fact.”
If you have to keep telling people you’re the least racist person they’ll ever meet, it’s probably not true.
“Look, it was done because I am a big believer in fighting radical Islamic terror. This was a depiction of radical Islamic terror. Here’s what’s fair, if you’re telling me they’re horrible people, horrible racist people I would certainly apologise if you would like me to do that.
I know nothing about them. I don’t want to be involved with [these] people, but you’re telling me about these people because I know nothing about these people.”
Despite the President’s ignorance, a person in his position should be spending less time Tweeting and more time running the most powerful country in the world.
We all knew the moment he was sworn into office, this was going to be one hell of a ride and we’re barely half way through his term!
