#TheSponge is run on the ViSiON-iRC Network
Which is a private network and is kept running by donations from its members
Different channels on the network use the network server capacity for different things
In #TheSponge we use these facilities to run serving on BOTS and network services
such as TVGuide, these are a major drain on the network's high capacity servers
If you would like to see these facilites continue
Please make a donation towards the cost of running the network and its channels
Just send your donations to donate@vision-irc.net via paypal
We don't ask for you to send a great deal just what you can afford
A small amount like 5 euros a month (or the equivalent in your local currency)
is more than enough should everyone donate
